Stand Up For Breast Cancer By Wearing Lees

In 1996 Lee began a campaign to fight breast cancer. Lee National Denim Day has fought the battle of One Day One Cause One Cure for the past 20 years. The fight began when several Lee Jeans employees realized that each of them, in one form or another had been touched by breast cancer. As a conversation started an idea did as well. This idea would lead to the creation of Lee National Denim Day. This fundraiser has become one of the largest single day fundraisers that has spread nationwide and helps bring the conversation as well as donations to fight breast cancer.

Lee and the American Cancer Society teams up to make this special day happen. Lee National Denim Day is a fundraiser that was created by Lee Jeans. Participants donate $5 or more so that they can wear jeans to work. How great is that I know that where we work we have slim to no chance to wear jeans so when a day does come up many take advantage of it. In the past 20 years Lee National Denim Day has raised $93 million to help fight the battle against breast cancer. This money helps support the American Cancer Society and their breast cancer programs and services.
